Welcome to Valencia 2019, the Candidate City to host the 90th International Session of the European Youth Parliament. 300 young adults from around 40 European countries will discuss late-breaking topics covering research, innovation and its social impact in a manifold way and additionally celebrate their cultural diversity. Candidacy

Valencia 2019 is a candidate project to host the 90th International Session of the European Youth Parliament. The Core Organising Team has been working since February and is working hard to hold this flagship event in Valencia and Spain. The International Office in Berlin takes care of the selection and the deadline for proposals is November 6th, 2017.

New Horizons

The theme and academic concept is built upon the motto “Sailing towards new horizons”. Valencia, and many other cities around Europe, are now looking at today’s modernised world (and the new issues that come with it) with the necessity of looking for new horizons. How to adapt? How to embrace the 21st century? We would like to have our session focused on how cities and regions can move towards the new digital era without forgetting their traditions and values. Areas such as innovation, technology, demographics and the environment will be key in this conversion, and we would like the participants of Valencia 2019 to be very aware that these issues exist and think about possible solutions.
